OMG!!

Madame opened the huge old heavy carved door with her large antique key, to total blackness. There is no power she said (I think) or maybe there is nothing inside, or it’s haunted… For the price of the house, I imagined a huge ruin, cobwebs, torn walls, broken beams and dripping Mold. I sniffed at the blackness and smelt no familiar mustiness, which was a good start.  I peered at a photo of a spiral staircase with a beautiful handpainted scrolled design and an incredible ornate bannister, surrounded by a frescoed wall. Gone with the wind sprang to mind. I burst out laughing as it looked like it belonged in the palace of Versailles.

 I also have to concentrate more. Driving on the right side of the road is such a different sensation. Passing on the left, having a steering wheel on the left, looking left at an intersection. Driving around a roundabout the completely wrong way is terrifying!!
