2024 The final Room! 'Roses Room'

Well its been a while since I posted. Apologies! We have recently bought a home in Hawkes Bay and we have been crazy busy trying to transform the house and garden and adapt to provincial life. I will start posting again! So the last creation was Nics beautiful bathroom which has gotten even better as he's done a new and improved mural. Thats the thing about artists, they are never happy with the final finished product. Its a movable feast! We have been racing to finish the last bedroom as the house is being photographed for NZ House and Garden in February. The photographer is downstairs as I type! We are creating a vignette for the last room which was called 'The Swan room" but now has been renamed as a nod to the maid that inherited the house after the Master died. Her name was Rose. Now its 'Roses Room'. We imagined this was her room when she was the maid. Nic has created a beautiful Black, gold and white bathroom inside of the room which i think now is my favourite. I carried the wallpaper all the way from NZ in my hand luggage. I bought it at auction and new it would be perfect for the room. Sadly we couldn't finish the room but a little snippet got in to the magazine of the fantastic wallpaper we bought from a company in London called 'Watts of London" They recreate old images to make the most beautiful paper. We chose a Chinoiserie in apple green. I am so in love with it I want to do it again somewhere else. Maybe the NZ house?
