40 high . Very traditional French sculpture. 

Garden statues animalier. Sculptures of lions were often found in homes in the 18th and 19th centuries, where they were thought fashionably imposing and could most often be found guarding doorways .  It has a piece missing on one corner. This item would need to be freighted not posted with a courier as too heavy and fragile. Can be picked up from Hawkes Bay.
