light weight ,great condition. Used for pitching hay. made from a single tree branch.
Early 20th century. These were painstakingly and specially grown, by pollarding trees and shaping the sapling by cross bracing the branches with tied wood battens until the tree was large enough and of the required shape. Fragile to freight.
