fa3097 19th century Apothecary jar

A porcelain apothecary 19th century cylindrical Apothecary jar with lid. The colour of their background is white and they are decorated with gold bands in their upper and lower border. There is a rectangular plaque with hand-painted black and gold borders that identify in Latin the content of each jar.  The lid is cone shaped with an orb finial. They were used in chemist shops to store medicines and chemist products This is made in France. Cera Alba meaning ( white beeswax) in latin
